AE86 Dash Removal

I am currently ripping out my cracked, sun damaged dash for repair, and I have pulled almost
everything attached to it, but I am stuck in the removal of the instrument surround (highlighted red in image).
I have removed every screw I could find and it is kinda loose, however it is still
attached to the dash. I think it is pressed onto the dash. Im not sure if there is any trick to its
removal or just to use sheer force?
Has anyone pulled this out before?
Could anyone help? Im hesistant to use too much force and break shit.
