Galvanic rust protection (opinions pls)	Tue, 18 May 2004 02:29

Just cleaning up my 5S block, and I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on using something like CRC Zinc It (it's a galvanic rust protection spray can) on things like rods, block, pistons etc etc. The engine is probably going to sit around for a couple of months...if I ever get around to painting it (maybe with POR) will the zinc eff it up? Is it worth painting with POR 15 if it has been sprayed with this zinc stuff? [Report message to a moderator]
