Good drag tyres?

Well, it seems my new best friend the 1JZ has a bit of an appetite for tyres, with no help at all coming from my right foot. 
So I've decided maybe I should dig out 2 of my old 15x6.5" mag wheels & get some tallish & wide tyres on them and then only use them for drag racing, so the no.1 priority is dry weather straight line grip, with noise & wear rates not a concern. At the same time, I want something street legal that we can drive on the road if necessary.
Going by my above priorities, it sounds like a semi slick is the answer, can anyone suggest a good one, or are there any really grippy street tyres available?
The preffered size would be 235/60 15 I guess.
Anyone had any good or bad experience?
