I bought this car unfinished in March 03 and finally got it on the road in Feb 04. I have been waiting all this time to give it a run down the quarter.
It used to run on 5 cylinders, got that fixed had a shitload of RWC issues before getting it on the road. I took it to powercruise a month ago for its first ever event and i killed my diff and then on the way home got a short and my headlights are not working.
I didn't get the headlights fixed in time (because it costs heaps!) so I had to trailor it down to willowbank.
I just got my twin pipes and boost controller installed this week and it has been running fine since Wednesday. I drove it yesterday morning to get petrol and all was fine.
I put the car on the trailor and it was running perfectly and has been so since wednesday when the twin pipes were installed.
Arrive at Willowbank after a 2 hour drive and start it and there is some fucking loud tapping noise. We thought it sounded like it was coming from the top so we pulled the coils out and took the cam covers off and cranked it over but the noise stopped. (no spark)
Put it all back together and it now makes a screeching sound as well as the tapping so I have been told that is quite likely to be the water pump or alternator as they are the only things on the fan belt now. Or possibly a gudgeon pin because the tapping is quick.
I think I have the worst luck in the world.
Oh yeah, and then the zipper broke on my TRD jacket.
