Hey guys, I have a few questions regarding steering (in particular a recirculation ball setup).
* What is the correct procedure for checking tie rod ends to make sure they are ok? (just grab them and make sure there is no play, anything more technical than this?) Also what to check for if they are out of the car (take the dust boots off and make sure the ball looks ok, not scored etc?)...
* regarding the Idler arm, do they not have a ball joint, just a bearing (or is mine seized)? (the pitman arm appears to have a ball joint tho as expected)
* What is the correct procedure for adjusting the steering box (to remove the play)....should the car be jacked or on the ground. How much play should I leave? (I don't want to bind the gears)
