Man! I got head-on'd 4pm yesterday... by a guy on a pushie!!!
We were both doing about 50k's.
I was driving my AW11 past a 4WD parked on the side of the road and he come flying out of his driveway. Thought it was safe... and freaking had a head on with me. He was really flying for a pushie too.
Man... I just saw his eyes looking at me... they were big as freakin' 50c pieces man. I dont even think I braked.
His bike just got mashed into my front bar and handlebar hit my bonnet then just bounced about 15m off the side of the road...
The guy... just fully catapulted right over the top of my 2. His foot or something cliped my windscreen on the way over, but he cleared the whole rest of the car and freakin' slammed bad onto the road behind me.
As you can imagine... I freaked out to the max. Didn't know what to do next you know. There were chicks that had been walking down the street and seen it and they were just standing at the side of the road screaming and crying and shit. I sort of pulled my car off the road and got out to check out the dude.
He wasn't even wearing a helmet and he'd head-slammed pretty hard. Blood was pissing out of a massive egg on his head and from grazed elbows, hands and fully grazed legs. All the bystanders tried to stop him getting up. But he got up and walked back into his house where he had come from. This was a good sign to me cause at least he knew where his house was. Meant that the head-slam didn't effect him too hard... But he looked a pretty f**ked up mess as he limped back up his driveway.
There were heaps of witnesses and they all said that it was totally his fault. The cops agreed when they arrived and I didn't get charged with anything, so it looks like I am in the clear with my insurance co. etc... and besides being pretty sore and sorry for a week or so I think the Bike rider will be OK.
Something I won't forget for a long long time though.
