ACID day =(

unlucky day for me..went for a sprinter cruise and not even a quarter of the cruise..something happened..
my battery moved out of its way and the alternator pulley put a whole at the corner of my battery..as we all know acid poured out and probably being spilled all over the engine bay by the turning pulley.
battery has been replaced..most of the visible part was thoroughly with a rag and water..(yes..i was in the start of the hills)..
now the problem with my car is..moving frm 1st gear to 2nd gear is not receiving proper power...(engine hesistating to move) till 3rd gear above 3000rpm..car runs fine..but at the traffics lights, its underpowered...worst than a 3AC..
i assumed the leads are stuffed with the acid oil as i can see some sparks in the end of the leeds which connects to the dizzy when its revved...
another thing is the wiring..majority its alright (i hope) but i notice 1 or 2 wires is sort of like being raped (acid with wire..what will happen?)
i've yet to identify what is the wiring...those of u can help me out identify the round thing below the engine mount (4age 100kw in a sprinter - passanger side)...the wire came from a bunch of wires wrapped up, connects to a plug (those female and male plug)..and then connects to another plug and unto the round thing which sits below or next to the passanger engine mount..a pic will help u out abit..
now...how do i fix this problem? do i give it a proper steamclean to take out the acid or just a rinse with water will do? what about the wiring??
hope you guys could give some opinion or expertise on this...i'm so not happy with what happened...
