Cleaning Solex Carbs Fri, 11 June 2004 02:42 Go to previous message
Ive got a set of solex sidedrafts that i havnt used for about 3years, they have been sitting doing nothing and im thinking about throwing them on my 2TG, thing is over time it has accumulated dirt all over them and i noticed this morning that a little bit of dirt has made its way into where the fuel lines are attached to the carbs.. what i want to know is, is there anyway i can clean the inside without pulling apart the carb and hoping that they still work? maybe i could soak them totally in something? or spray some carby cleaner in it perhaps?

any suggestions appreciated.
cheers.
