Fri, 24 May 2002 18:22 Hello people, I'm looking to get a little more power out of my 18r-c RA40. Decent 18R-G engines seem to be on the hard to find list nowadays and I know that changing to the 18r-g engine will most probably be the way to go.... but unless I can find a decent one that will bolt straight in ie. no need to rebuild I'm going to have to settle for other mods. So basically I'm looking at changing a few things in this order on the 18r-c engine.. 1) Webber Carby 32/36 DGEV 2) Exhaust piping 3) Exhaust manifold/extractors 4) Cams Now for the questions... Would this be the way to go for 18r-c bolt on mods or is there a better way to go at it? What should I be looking for regarding the extractors & exhaust eg. extractor configuration & piping diameter? What should I be looking for regarding cams... I just want more low to midrange urge? Does anybody know of a place where I buy ant fit these parts especially the cams and webber carby? Any other place to get decent performance parts in sydney eg. brake pads, air filters etc? I'm basically at a loss in finding places in sydney that sell decent performance parts... so please any help would be excellent. [Report message to a moderator]
