 generation1 safc on 1g-gte--

hai people , im thinking of getting a generation1 safc - the one that has no blue screen and has the 5 dials on the face to adjust the fuel ratio and am planning to use this on a 1g-gte soarer 1988 model ,,,,,,,, however i checked out the safc tpye 1 (discontinued)user manual from apexi and in the list of cars that are suitable for it to be used theres no 1g-gte engine , theres only 1g-ge engine , so im wondering if its going to be ok to use it ,
has anyone else here used the older apexi safc on the 1g-gte engine with success any help appreciated
only reason im going for the safc -type 1 (non blue screen)is cause its easier to tune nd can be done on a dyno without much difficulty whereas the blu screen versions need to be tuned by an expert (top dollars )
