car is a 1976 Mazda 1300 2dr sedan (not a coupe)
bought it without really knowing what it was about 2years ago after looking around for a decent escort or stanza.
since then, have thrown in a bigger motor out of a Japanese 323, a 5spd box, and a few other things.
Biggest mod at the momemt has been replacing the front brakes with a popular kit amongst the rotary crowd. Uses Tarago vented discs and Camira calipers. Its all mounted on RX-2 struts that have been converted to height adjustables. (no idea what the springs are or their ratings)
great kit, pulls up from 180 repeatedly with no fad. Pads are QFMs. All the front bushes got replaced with noltec or rubber ones at the same time. Rear end is stock (read: worn out drums and 4.11 diff)
Planning to convert it over to 4AGE power later this year with a T50 box and another modified tailshaft. I think the diff will be able to cope with a 100kw 4AGE motor. Just have to suss out engine and gearbox mounts etc. Didnt want to go the rotary route as this is my daily driver and I want it quiet, reliable and good on the juice.
