Hey everyone,
I am a fairly new poster (been readin a while) to this forum and would like to ask you knowledgeable Toyota buffs (is that enough sucking up? lol) a couple of questions before I buy my next car.
Has anyone here done a FWD to RWD/4WD conversion on a late model corolla?
I am considering buying a '99 AE111 BZ-R Trueno (with the 6sp 20V 4A-GE engine)which come factory fitted as FWD, once the compliance is available.
I know theres a few different Toyota's that came in 4WD layout (the Corolla wagon etc.) and am wondering if the drivetrain from one of these cars would fit the AE111 (Jap Spec)?
If this could be done I have considered transplanting the 20V with a 3S-GTE (in either 4WD or RWD configuration) down the track when I want more power.
I guess what I really wanna know is that if I get one of these, is it worth trying to convert to RWD/4WD or will it be so expensive that I am better off keeping it FWD...or building up an AE86?
