Small 4 cylinder RWD car with light steering... why exactly do you want power assistance? Unless you're missing a limb it's a complete waste of time.

rack and pinion would probably be worthwhile for the sake of response and such, but as for power assistance i think it'd be a waste of time

I'm with Norbie on this one. It's similar to the discussion happening atm with the AE86. I don't think it would be an improvement. All you are doing is adding extra weight and complexity for loss of road feedback...

my ta22 has very light steering easy to park etc has a small sports wheel ans 195's on the front.
