Intercooler water spray??

Has anyone considered/done installing water spray in front of the intercooler. Would this benefit the cooler or is it better to have water injection after the AFM. Just curious..looking at ways of making the stock cooler more efficient on my 1ggte, since i want to boost it to 1 bar. Would this do it?
