AE86 Fuel Tank Capacity?

just wondering what the AE86 fuel tank capacity is (JDM)
my fuel gauge or sender unit is stuffed so i can't see how much juice is left. if anyone knows how to fix this pls let me know. (i have tried cleaning sender but no work)

Not sure about the accurate figure but it must be bigger than 35L as thats the biggest Ive ever filled it up (Aus tank though).
Does you sender read anything at all? Like does it sit at empty all the time or move a little bit?

JDM and Aus spec tanks I think have the same casing, you could use a JDM fuel gasket and the baffle inside on the mouth of an Aus spec... (could be wrong though).

the tank is at least 45 litres
cos i've filled 45, mind you i was driving for 100kms on the fuel light.

just cause you only fill it 35L doesent mean thats its capacity ROFLMAO
all AE85/AE86 JDM or any other market fuel tanks have a total capacity of 55L
go read the owners manual

My fuel gauge doesnt work either but i refill (about 42ltrs) every 570-590kms, 4AG AE86, not bad mileage i say.

well if i leavy my tank go below 35L it seems to not suck fuel up n full lock
so to me, 35L capacty, its useless if its any more empty

the aussie owners manual says 50L, but the fuel pump may reduce this slightly, (but not by 15L), i guess the 55L may be when petrol is pouring out the filler.

thanks for your help people. ~50 is all i needed to know. when i get to ~400km i refill my tank and reset the tripmeter again. but if anyone knows a sure way to fix my sender or gauge please let me know.
gauge read half a tank once when i had full tank. (first time i filled her up in AUS)
gauge moved a tiny bit very slowly when i cleaned the sender.
-these are the only times i have seen a reading on the dial. othertimes its always on E

Mine was always stuck on half and rarely moved around so I ended up replacing the sender unit which was about $50.

$50  is that a new one from toyota?
I reckon a wrecker may have one from an ae82 4age for cheap?

$50 new... hell no, secondhand. Toyota wouldnt seperate it from a tank (new aswell) and wanted like $2k.
