temperature guage problem Sat, 17 July 2004 09:21
Whats doin' mario, ive tried using the SEARCH function but still
no answer. so ill be straight forward:-

guage:
- SPECO temp guage.(aftermarket)
discription:
- reads temp
- connection sticking out has small copper pipe with solder in it.

car:
- 75 ta22
discription:
weapon.

stock guage:
- 75 ta22 temp guage
discription:
- never gets to 80 degrees, usually sits on 50 - 70.
is that a problem?

stock sensor:
- temp sensor on 2tgeu
(i dont know which it is, thermal or semiconductor)
discription:
- thermal contains electrical resistor varies with temp
- semicondictor consists of spring-loaded alloy disc or pellet
inside copper housing.

result:
no change in temp when aftermarket temp guage is connected to stock temp sensor at normal operating temps.

question:
what is the right connection for the aftermarket temp guage.
including temp sensor unit and connection medium between guage and sensor.

any advice or abuse will be great.
