AE82 more brake boost?

Hi, just wondering how i can go about getting more braking power
because im really having to slam the brakes on to get the thing to stop
i've driven a few other cars, and their brakes feel much better, to the point
where i have to learn not to hit them so hard otherwise the thing locks up,
so basically im wondering if i can use a brake booster from another car to get a bit more assistance
when braking. At the momemnt i've got drums at the rear and ae82 twin cam rotors and calipers at the front
i've got a set of ae82 twin cam discs for the rear coming soon and ill get them in as soon as i can
is there any real benefit in gettin steel braided lines or is that just for hardcore racing?
I've looked at upgrading the brakes at the front but ive only got 14"s. Plus if i was going to upgrade
to something like the ae92 levin gtz stuff i'd have to get ae92 struts and then theres more cash and effort.
Although i dont know how much work is involved in swapping over a brake booster, is it a lot?g
