Pulled apart the front diff from our 1984 Nissan Patrol Turbo Diesel to find the bearing looking bizarre.
the bearing is perfect but look at the cup. My old man says he hasnt seen anything like this in the 25 yrs spent as a mechanic. These marks are also on the cups of all the other bearings in the diff yet the actual bearings are perfect.
we suspect the diff has had a HUGE hit at one point in its life.
Can anyone comment further on this?? (yes we know they need to be replaced )
