hey everyone..http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/aktion/action-smiley-066.gif

well, as soon as exams are over and done with i'm gona be doing some major stuff to the little beast. a respray is on the list, (along with a 20v conversion, nos <--(nah, seriously) and a few other bits and pieces..)

which brings me to my question-i've been told that there are places where you can hire out a spray booth along with a gun and a compressor and respray your own car. does anyone know of any good places such as this?? alternatively--would anyone be willing to hire out their garage/compressor for a couple of days if the price is right?

any advice would be very much appreciated http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/aktion/action-smiley-023.gif.

cheers guys http://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/grinser/grinning-smiley-043.gifhttp://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/grinser/grinning-smiley-043.gifhttp://www.click-smilies.de/sammlung0304/grinser/grinning-smiley-043.gif

haha
not worth it
theres a car along burwood road that does a $695 respray
neva can catch his number.

Otherwise u can get a cheap garage from supercheap (Those erect yourself plastic ones.

Wait for better weather.
Chuck some heaters in.
And go nuts.

By all means if u find a good spray/booth let me know i wanna throw some paint on my carbon crayon bonnet.

Europaint Australia Unit 1/ 15 Scoresby Rd Bayswater ph: (03) 9738 0588

Thats the mob with the multicolored sigma wagon/van thing.

The car originally said $500 resprays, its gone up a fair bit recently. Expect to pay more than $695 with preparation etc. though, i'm sure theres hidden costs.

I got quoted there, roll in roll out with all remove and refit done by me was ~$1200. Car was straight, but car-park dinged about a bit. No rust.

$599 or whatever is just to mask and spray what you give them, no prep required, paint included. ie. literally a 'respray', not all the prep work then spray.

There's a Sigma sedan that parks on Canterbury Road in Bayswater (Corner of Bayswater Road, 1km up from the workshop) and an old wagon that I see angle-parked on Toorak Road near Glen Iris/Tooronga/Monash Freeway. Thought it was an #E70 Corolla wagon, maybe a Sigma though.

Roman, I have THOUGHT about touching up the grey thing a bit - maybe if you can chip in a bit towards hiring a heater for a few days, we can use our garage? You're planning on painting it yourself, yah? Evil or Very Mad

Don't buy a gun from Supercheap. My Star S770 (2.0mm suction feed) gun cost me only $136 (inc. GST) from Total Tools last week.
