Hello to all Toymods members. Nice to meet you all
I've been reading these forums for a while now, and, since I own two Toyota Crowns myself I decided to join in.
One is a MS83 1975 Crown Super Deluxe Wagon. My restoration project! Originally my first car unfortunately, it was smashed by a tree during a freak high gust of wind that knocked off the branches of the 400 year old tree. It was estimated that 70 tonnes of tree fell on the car and front end. The front roo-bar was smashed into the ground and the roof was caved in, only as far as the back seat. The car survived and could be started up and driven around. The car originally had 700,000+ clicks on the clock. Car was involved in a car pileup and rear ended by a truck. Being a car with full chassis the original owner drove away from the accident, the other cars were towed...Hehehe I love Crown's durability
The other replacement car was my new Crown which is a 1981 MS112 Royal Saloon...It's got everything including a cooler! Its battered, the paints wearing off at the roof and looks to have had a collision with a roo but no serious damage. So far this car has been smooth and a reliable old tank. I would like to put a more modern engine in at some stage as the 5M-E has done 320,000km but still going strong...People tell me to wait until it blows up, but it probably never will
Why didn't I go a Ford or Holden? Why would I downgrade my luxury?
Have a nice day.
