no_one Newcomer Location: England Registered: July 2004	AE92 4age hatchback newb question Sat, 31 July 2004 14:41 lo first post. ok bascially i wanna know what the half red section on the rev counter means. at 7,300 it goes from white lines to red at 7,700 it becomes solid red so what is the difference between the two? is the engine still damaged if it revs beyond 7,300? In my last car (1.4 VW Polo) it was just solid red from 6,000 onwards. Thanks Simon Murphy [Report message to a moderator]
