My misses has an 4AFE and its stalls, wont restart until cool, when gets hot ie after traffic driving stop start. This happened yesterday and it restarted after about 2minutes but today we tries for about 30minutes and had to leave the car and come back.
I have narrowed it down to Ignition and igniter, is there any other way to test the igniter other than the spark test? Is this a common problem on this model, toyota have always had good standard ignition systems.
The pickup sensors are measuring 240 ohms instead of the spec 180 but are registering a change when the shaft is rotated, is this a cause also?
