Im looking at buying a couple of domain names, and i want to know what people recommend for a half-arsed bastard like myself who doesnt have teh uber website skills. Im looking at registering from http://www.cheapdomain.com.au/ They appear to sell the domain name for aroun $16p/year with basic URL forwarding. I want some opinions and suggestions as to what i should do. # I have a LARGE amount of webspace available which someone gave me FTP access to with my own folder and login (www.rollamods.com/witzl) which i intend to use to host the site # I would like my domain to appear in the browser window up top, and if someone for instance types www.witzl.com/subfolder-X it goes to the correct folder as loaded on the rollamods webspace. # does the basic forwarding cheapdomain provides going to do this? How would i set this up? # can anyone suggest another place that might be worth looking at for purchasing the domain based on what i want? LIke i said, im not all that good at this shite - i understand that a few basic scripts are required to link the domain to the actual hosted site, so something that has easy to set up features like this would rock. is anyone willing to offer me some help on the topic? I want to buy the couple of domains im after today or VERY SOON. [Report message to a moderator]
