Invitation to Toyota Nationals Inc Dyno Day (Newcastle)	Mon, 09 August 2004 09:38

The Toyota Nationals Inc would like invite Toyota Nationals supporters, Toymods members and friends to our first annual Dyno Day. When: 28th August Where: Scotts Dyno Tune, 25 Maitland Rd, Mayfield (between the BP and Avis car rental. Drive in the BP driveway and you'll see Scotts at the back) Time: 9am to 3pm Cost: $50 per car Conditions and other Details: Trophies will be awarded in the categories listed below but to be eligible you must have a Toyota powered vehicle. Non-Toyota powered cars are welcome but are not eligible for a trophy and those cars must wait until all Toyota powered cars have had their go. Scotts have set a limit of 40 cars but we'll see how we go (we don't really want to turn people away) To make things simple, lunch will not be offered but there is Kentucky across the road, Maccas 5 mins up the road plus a few takeaway shops close by. Trophies will be awarded for: * Best aspirated up to 2 litres * Best forced induction up to 2 litres * Best aspirated up to 3 litres * Best forced induction up to 3 litres * Best over 3 litres * Best overall Additional Comments: This new thread has been created to try and leave the comments of the last thread behind. Many things were said and a lot of confusion crept into the thread regarding this event and the Toyota Nationals weekend. I have taken those comments on board and they will be addressed in due course and information will added to our website that I hope will clarify those comments. In regards to the dyno day though, this is not part of the Toyota Nationals. It is a separate event run by the Toyota Nationals Inc and it is not sponsored by anyone . The cost has been set by Scotts Dyno and the day has been organized first and foremost to provide a dyno comp for those who don't get the chance to run their car at a Toymods day and secondly, to promote Scotts Dyno as part of the Toyota Nationals sponsorship agreement. As I said, other comments raised in the previous thread will be addressed shortly however I can assure everyone that the Toyota Nationals Inc is definitely a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to run the Toyota Nationals weekend. We are bound by the same legal rules and regulations as other such organizations and I was personally a little shocked that anyone would think we are doing anything other then the right thing with money raised. If anyone has anything they would like to email about privately please feel free to do so. I would rather that then have another shit fight and potentially destroy what I think will be a good day.
