AE86 Axles? need help! Wed, 11 August 2004 00:49 Go to previous message
I have a early model JDM ae86 with disc & LSD rear end. The other day I replaced one of the axles. I have a feeling that the diamiter of the teeth may be too small. unfortunately I didnt measure them when they were both out.

Im not sure what spec ae86 the spare axle came from, but i have a feeling it is the wrong one. here is what happens... When i drive slowly it is all fine, but when I turn left (the side of the new axle) or put the power 'down' then the back of the car vibrates VERY violently.

I guess what i want to know is firstly if u think an axles with the wrong teeth could do this. and secondly where can i get the correct axle to fit my disc & LSD JDM early model diff?

PS: anyone know an EASY way to remove axles from the housing?
