I know that the spark plug gap for blue top engines is .044, is it different for the red top/late model 4agze? Something like .032?
The 4agze has a timing pin to read by sticking out of the timing cover, so do you just ignore the timing numbers on the block? I also have 3 tick marks on the crank pully, I'm pretty sure that the far left one is TDC so is the far right one 10 degrees?
you dont need the numbers that are on the plastic cover, use the timing pointer and the 3 notches on the crank pully to adjust your timing. yes the far left is TDC and the middle notch on the pulley is 10 degrees base when the diagnostic pins are jumpered. http://www.members.aol.com/feral4mr2/images/timing 4age_ze.jpg
