I'm looking at building a KE35 Corolla rally car...

I rally (usually nav in) a TA22 Celica at the mo, 2TG (putting out 130hp at the wheels!!!) but will kill myself if I drive it again. I need a slower car.

I've found a shell with roll cage and log book, haven't seen it yet but looks okay in the pikkies.

I'll be getting a donor Corolla of some description, rescuing the engine, gearbox and possibly drive train. Who knows what the KE35 came out with either here or overseas? Will probably use a fair bit of the donor car including floor pan.

Hopefully someone out there in cyberspace can tell me:
**How hard are KE35 bits to find?
**Are they interchangable with anything?
**Who has done successful but minor mods? By minor I mean mods that will still allow me to run it at CAMS events (i.e. pass scrutineering, comply with all the right Schedules and so on). Like brakes, control arms, that sorta stuff. Not paint and stereos, it doesn't have to look or sound pretty.
**Presuming I go ahead with the 1300 (?) motor, what are the main flaws in Corolla running gear? I'm thinking I will break stuff pretty easily, I'm not a Sunday driver when I've got the helmet on...

Cheers Smile
