 How much does a 1GGTE + gearbox (dry) weigh?

Anyone know who's had to ship one? I said 250kgs at a guess when quoting my freight, but I thought it would be less than that.

250kg is about right for a 1JZ/2JZ... there's no way a 1G weighs that much!

Well, if anyone knows,... and can tell me within the next few hours that would be great, because it will hopefully reduce the quote considerably!!!
*complete* Engine + gearbox (loom, cpu, turbos the whole shebang), drained of fluids

Japanese Motorsport had quoted 300kg to the freight company for my 1GGTE with oil, two pallettes and a W58. Cost me $200 to freight from Adelaide to Perth.

My educated guess is 125-150Kgs for the motor, 35-40Kgs for the box, 20Kgs for the pallet, and 20Kgs for incidentals.

This is from memory (and from what other people have posted)
1G-GTE = 175kg
W58 = 35kg

That 175 does seem to ring a bell, but I've never known if that's a bare engine, or bare engine + turbos, or... I know a W5x alloy 'box is 35kgs.

Stefan, you'll probably find the extra weight makes no difference to price. Freight prices are not like Australia post.

Yeah, a lot of them just generally use the weight to work out for getting things on and off. Its the size that matters.
