pics have arrived!

grotty engine.....

the empty bay

Update
car is coming along really good, i got it totalling stripped. so its just the shell, no chrome trim or anything.
engine is ready to be removed this week for a rebuild while the shell is being resprayed.
ill have some pics real soon...
just a few things to note for RA28 owners. allthough the car appears to be completly free of rust from the outside and inside. i found a bit of rust behind the rubber seals on the 1/4 windows, also little bits of rust under the hatch back rubber door seal, and there was a puddle of water inside the car on the right hand side( its like to the right of the spare tyre and the fuel tank fill up hose actually went through the puddle) i guess this is because my hatch door seal was stuffed and the glass seal was stuffed also.
so if you working on those areas id just check em out. or looking at buying one anytime soon(it would be good to c how much rust is there)
otherwise everything is going good and i am going to buy all new weatherstrips for the whole car.....expensive
pics will be up really sooon
here are some other pics of it a while back

Hey my name is Jeff , Please, if you read this make any suggestions on what I can do to save money and perhaps add a few tips on how I should go about doing things.
I am 15 years old and joined this great site just one week ago. I inherited a 77 RA28 from my brother who bought it for $1500, it was in good nick, no dings, no rust and had done 75000km's. He had the ideas to create a great car but lost interest very quickly, although he had the cam grinded by Crowe Cams, extractors put on, port n polish, head machined by Headline, valves reseated and guided also by Headline. This made the RA28 perform considerably better with improved economy, improved torque and generally made the car pull harder up hills etc. My dad is going to put in a bit of cash for the cause but I have to help out aswell (3 grand in my bank to spend wisely). Tho I need some of that to support my love for Motocross racing aswell (currently racing KX125 at state level). As I wish to transform this old school Celica in to a Mini Mustang type car I have made a to do list. The first few things that need to be fixed' were all things that happened between the time that my brother bought the car and when I inherited it.
Here's the list, Its in a rough order
Stuff that NEEDS to be done
New front mud guards (hit kangaroos), New Blinkers etc (smashed), New battery
Windows Need attention (there not straight! Dont align with seals)
Cracks in dash need attention
When I get a job
Mag wheels
Rust removed
Paint job
Custom spoiler
New carpet for whole interior, New floor mats
Put Sylvia, 180sx or supra front seats in
Back seat re-trimmed
New seals to waterproof, New Speedo dials (currently deformed), New CD player and speakers, New gear stick knob, New trick steering wheel
After my dad and myself win lotto :):):)Power steering(if possible), Power windows
Window tint
Central locking
Brake upgrade, Peugot Discs / Hilux calipers
Car lowered and suspension upgraded
Supra 5 speed gearbox, 1G-GTE engine.
Sorry I aint got ne pics, i lost the charger to the didgi cam:)
Please add your thoughts and opinions, any suggestions and tips will be appreciated
Well dang its about time I shutup and stopped wasting forum space
Great site BTW!! Kewl articals and forums.
CHEERS!
