icon5.gif  AFM to MAP conversion....available/possible? Sat, 28 August 2004 13:52 Go to previous message
I am building a Caterham style clubman and running a 20V Silvertop. With the engine now mounted in the RWD positition the airbox inlet now faces rearward. I would like to modify/purchase?/fabricate a new airbox that will allow me to draw cold air from the front of the car. Unfortunately there is very little room in front of the engine and so I would like to do without the AFM by converting to MAP.
I know what you're thinking, get an aftermarket ECU. Unfortunately as the car is not yet registered it will have to have the original computer in place when I get it engineered/registered to prove it passes the current emissions ADR's.

So, Is there a way of converting from AFM to MAP?

Thanks in advance.
