adjusting apexi N-1 coilovers

hello i recently purchased a set of apexi N-1 coilovers, 2nd hand (sorry i couldn't afford the $5000 brand new ) and they didn't come with instructions or tools. just wondering if anyone here knows how to adjust the damper/rebound on these. there is an allen key/bolt at the top of the strut (in the middle of the camber plate) that twists, but im still not sure. there is also a bolt and locking bolt at the bottom of the strut, but i think it's to hold the shock in.
any help would be greatly apreciated (they are so F&^king stiff!)
