I flushed and changed my coolant today, and this afternoon its started leaking like a tap from the hole shown in the attached pic! It was the first time I've done the coolant on a Celica, so I've probably screwed up somewhere - here's the whole story:

Chapter 1 - how I did it
I drained the radiator, flushed it, refilled it and added the cleaner then ran it for about 15 min. At this point I realise that the drain on the radiator is still open and it had almost run dry. Next I flushed out the cleaner from the radiator and block, filled it up with fresh coolant and started the car.

At idle, the revs would increase to about 2g's then drop back down to about 900 (normal idle). I'm guessing this is because the pump was dry? I topped up the coolant, let it sit for a few minutes and checked it again - seemed to be normal. Took it for a short drive around the block. During the drive the temperature suddenly rose. After letting it cool, got it home, added more coolant (double checked for air in the hoses), let it idle for a few minutes. Took it for a drive and it was 100%.

Chapter 2 - What went wrong?
A few hours later, checked for leaks and didn't find any. Drove about 3k's up the road and it starts steaming. Checked it out, did a U turn and came home - by this stage steam is pissing out of it.

Jacked it up and traced the leak to that hole. Its on the water pump housing behind the alternator (picture taken of my spare motor). The coolant flows from that hole steadily when the engine is running at idle. WHAT IS GOING ON!!!

Sorry about the short novel of a post, its just that this is the fourth thing to go wrong with the car this month and ITS DRIVING ME INSANE!!!
