3 questions on the 1jz Thu, 03 October 2002 07:38 Go to previous message
1. is the only difference betwen a chaser and soarer front cut the sump? like, if I got a sump off the chaser and put it on the soarer, would it fit just as well as the chaser? (I know the soarer has a hydraulic water pump, and probably a few extra wired coming out of the ecu)

2. what car does the "short box" r154 come from? I think it's the soarer (hence the last question). I'd like to know, 'cause I know someone with a chaser sump, so I'm going to go looking for a front cut with the "short box" attached (not that I'm really sure exactly what the short box is, except for a shorter r154)

3. not really a 1jz question, but what effect will knocking some of the ribs out of a transmission tunnel have? I assume it'll reduce the strength of the tunel, but I've never heard of someone busting a transmission tunnel, so am I right in assuming that it shouldn't produce any problems?

cheers
