AE82 Seca instrument cluster into AE80...

I've got a mate with an AE80, and since I am selling the AE82 soon, I told him he could have the instrument cluster so that he will have a tacho, is it simply just a case of swapping them over and plugging them in, what needs to be done to get it working properly? or would it just be alot easier to tell him to go and buy a seperate tacho?
