I’d like to know how many people have had this experience with dealerships.
I purchased a Toyota Executive vehicle from "A Toyota Dealership" on 27/11/01, 16,000 on the odo with the remainder of factory warranty and an extended warranty that expires on 26/10.16.
This warranty included fixed price servicing. However the dealership changed hands and the new owners denied “ Blood Toyota” & refused to honour the fixed price servicing. Telling me that the contract was null & void as the contract was not transferable.
The contract states that I can apply for a refund, which I have. Although I have attempted to deal with the dealers double speak, I have had no result and they are now threatening to take this to their solicitors. Sighting the fact that I voided the warranty by not having the vehicle serviced there? I now live in Tasmania and though I travel to Geelong regularly, there seemed no point in getting my service done there if they were not going to honour the fixed price service part of the contract. I am a female disabled pensioner and the cost of the extended warranty was $795.
