Rocker covers - internal seal? Wed, 22 September 2004 13:02 Go to previous message
I'm swapping the rocker covers on my engine for another set that are in better condition. In the top of the exhaust side rocker cover there is this metal plate that kinda channels the blow-by to the PCV hose. When I pulled it apart to clean it (it filled with chunks of dirty congealed oil) I noticed that it was sealed with what was either a gasket or some kind of a solid sealant. Do I need to replace this before I can use the cover? If so, what do I use to re-seal it?

Cheers,
Andy
