Socket to remove driveshaft nut!

Where the hell can I get a socket which is deep enough to remove the front driveshaft nut on my st185?! The threaded end sticks out too far and I can't fit a socket over the nut, and no-one seems to sell ones which are deep enough! I believe it's a 30mm socket?
Anyone know where in Melbourne might have one?

what you need is a deep wall impact socket. Shopping at places like Bunnings/AutoOne/Repco will yeild zero results. You need to find a store which specialises in real tools.
There is a place in Sydney called ToolWorks which i visit, but any decent tool shop should have what you are after.
P.S. you will need a bigfuckoff breaker bar too

Just weld one up with a cheap socket and a piece of pipe? Cut the socket in half and weld the pipe in the middle.

Hub nuts. 30mm one, measures about an inch and a bit deep. And reading it closely its a supatool one, but i bought it at repco.
As for tool shops, any Bursons should be able to order you a Kinchrome one.

Got one
A big ass impact socket, I managed to get the nuts off without breaking anything this time, last time I destroyed a sidchrome flex handle (big fucker it was too).
Now I just need to work out how the hell to pull the shafts out, might need to undo the 3 bolts at the bottom of the hub i think?

heheheh. for this purpose i have a 32mm impact socket, 3/4" drive, with a 3/4"-to-1/2" drive adapter. heavy bugger, too, and it wobbles the rattlegun around a bit. Got it from Fisher Discounts in Fyshwick, ACT. Great shop. If you're in Canberra and don't know about it, you're a sad case :/
I recommend getting sockets with flaring around where each pair of faces meets - this means that the socket acts upon the flat sides of the nut/bolt you're working on, and doesn't touch the corners. Hence the corners don't get mashed up. Is good. I think it's called "flare-nut" or something.
