Have you ever wanted to know what it's like to be strapped into a real rally car, with a harness and a helmet on, and be let loose to have some real fun in the forest?
Then come along to the 2004 Canberra Rally Experience and help raise money for the Snowy Hydro SouthCare helicopter service.
"Snowy Hydro SouthCare provides the aero-medical and rescue helicopter service to the Australian Capital Territory and the southeast region of New South Wales.
Snowy Hydro SouthCare often flies directly to the scene of an accident to take the patient as quickly as possible to hospital while the flight paramedics provide the best in pre-hospital care. Snowy Hydro SouthCare is there to help 24 hours a day, 365 days a year."

The 2004 Canberra Rally Experience will be held on October 23rd 2004. The event will run from 9:30am until about 5:00pm.
To comply with CAMS safety requirements and provide protection in case of an incident all passengers riding in cars will be required to wear neck to wrist to ankle ('Full Cover') clothing made of natural fibres. This is as simple as jeans and a long sleeved cotton t-shirt (no tracksuits). Covered footwear is also required.
Tickets will be available on the day.
Just $15 will get you a 20 minute rally experience, including a 5km stage as a co-driver on a closed forest road.
You can ride as many times as you like (time permitting), however in the interests of fairness, there are to be no multiple ticket purchases. Helmets will be provided on the day, however feel free to bring your own if you have one (helmets will have to meet standards and pass a safety inspection).
There will be refreshments available all day, including a sausage sizzle soft drinks (no alcohol allowed on the site), a coffee stall and prizes to be won throughout the day, and plenty of other things going on for your amusement, all to raise money for the wonderful Snowy Hydro helicopter service.
Please be Sun Smart on the day, and don't forget your hat and sunscreen and shoes suitable for the forest environment.
You can also have fun learning what all our officials do and find out how you can get involved in ACT Rallying. Many many competitors will be happy to answer questions about their car, about driving full throttle on the dirt and generally how much fun we all have when we're out there!!
There will be a wide variety of competition rally cars available for you to have a ride in.
