2t/3t questions Sat, 02 October 2004 07:55
howdy, i need to know a few things before i redo my 2t 3t.
well i got my other one assembled and was driving it for about 2 blocks and the thing blew up at low revs. wrecked everything. pulled it apart and come to the conclusion that a valve had snapped, most likely anyway. although there is some concern with flycutting old 3t pistons in this hyrbid right? so perhaps it was that that blew my motor up, although the motor wasnt under much stress. look, it couldve been anything.
my question is. how much danger does flycutting the pistons present?
also, forged pistons are still an option. getting an overbore and going that way. except that will cost me heaps more dough on a motor that already owes me like 3 grand. how much quicker woulda an overbore and forged pistons make it go?
any helps appreciated
