how do you go bout using a timing gun?? i was thinking of buying a timing gun because i want to be able to independently service/maintain my car. spark plugs, oil and oil filter changes i can do...just the possibility of having to tune it..I've read in an article the basics of it i think.
the light will flash on an mark on the timing belt close to a mark next to the timing belt. might need to adjust the distributor to get the mark on the belt to match up with mark on the engine..
but what do you hook the timing belt to...
one goes on the battery and then what?
what else do i need to know?

thanks in advance for the replies
