3sgte knock sensor wiring problems! Fri, 08 October 2004 11:00
Hoping someone can help me Smile

I swapped the knock sensor over in my ST185, but I am still getting a code 52 (knock sensor problem). I am thinking it must be the wiring then, as there appeared to be some resistance between the knock sensor wire and the ground when I measured it. I also tried testing between the knock sensor terminal and the wire going to the ecu (assuming I had the right one), and got no connection according to the mulitmeter. Should there be a direct connection there?
If so, am I able to just run a whole new shielded wire from the knock sensor straight to the terminal on the ecu? Or is there more to it than that?!

Please help!
