In the middle of a 4AC --> 4AGE 16v in my sprinter...
the engine is in, just needs to be wired up. i've found some diagrams on the net, so that should help...

have any of you guys out there done it? how long did it take you?
do you guys have any tips and tricks on helping me and my father wire up my car?
any funny/bad accident stories? hehehe.

Yeah I wired my car. It isn't too bad if you are patient.

Get a good wiring diagram of car and engine before you start. Then just go at it slowly, never rush it. It'll take ages to run the wires out nicely and get them all the right length, but it will be worth it.

And invest in a good soldering iron and some heatshrink tubing.

Good luck

Hmm, I suggest you get to be personally acquainted with heatshrink.. Best thing to do if you're a bit unsure is to try and kid someone who's done this kind of thing a few times before to come keep an eye on what you're doing. It's not very hard to get it going, especially something simpler like a 4AG, but it is also quite easy to make a complete hash of it Evil or Very Mad

just plan things out before you start soldering away. If you arent that confident with understanding the circuits, do lots of labelling once you have worked out what something is.

Once you lay the loom out into the car its pretty easy. Grab the circuit diagrams off http://www.club4ag.com
