LSD temperatures

um...this might be a stupid question but its got me worried....how hot are the housing supposed to get after what u would call a um..."spirited drive" mine gets hot enough that i cant hold my hand on it...is that normal? i use redline 75w90 lsd oil in case that makes a difference
im pretty sure its normal but i figured it wont hurt to ask

Yes, that is quite normal. Drivetrain components get hot!

Not uncommon for a hard worked diff to get the oil over 100 deg celcius.
Racing temps of up to 125 have been noted in my cct car, but 100 is the highest that should be experienced.

ensure that you have the diff FULL of oil tho
if its lower then normal then it will heat up more

fill it to the correct level, dont FILL it
