ABS switch Fri, 22 October 2004 02:29
I need to figure out how to switch off my ABS.

When driving on dirt, it actually causes the car to take longer to stop.

The biggest problem is that my speedo is driven off the front wheels ABS sensors, so I can't just pull the fuse.

Was thinking about these 2 options:

1. switch onto the power supply for the ABS motors. This would require either one big relay or multiples as it has an 60A fuse on it.

2. putting a switch onto one of the rear ABS sensors. This would put the system into "failsafe" mode ie no ABS operation, but brakes & speedo still work.

Anyone suggest any problems/ideas?
