ST141 Corona questions

Hey guys,
I have been thinking for quite some time about doing up the ole corona.
It currently has a 2s-c engine, and an auto box.
I would like to know what lsd(s) i can upgrade to, what motors I can put in with minimal fuss (preferably turbo'd, but i'm not too worried).
Just wondering if it's worth trying, or just getting another car to work with
thanks in advance
(sorry for the noobness of this post, but i troll through threads more than i post )

well if you have around 5k then you can do a 1g-gte conversion which is the best "bang for buck"
3t-gte
3s-gte
if you like your corona then it's worth it but you can sell it and get soemthing better

how much work did you do yourself, its always an option for me instead of selling the car which may happen next year deepnding on finances wouldn't be able to do much myself, would get help from my uncle for some stuff maybe but majority of work would have to get done by a mechanic

the $1000 was for the exhaust.
did the rest myself.
had a mte help me who is a desk jockey and besides the wiring and welding he recons he could probably do it now. and that was the first time he has had tools in his hands or got oily.
oh i alsoo replaced the clutch with a beefier item while it was out forgot to add that $450

THinking about it I prolly wouldn't do it cos would need to repair couple of rust spots, new gearbos, current one bit stuffed and the exhaust would cost a bit. I think I prolly just get another car next hopefully another toyota. Depending on cash wouldnt mind a soarer with 1ggte already in it or if I'm driving lots just get a rolla with a 4age
