differential for an ra25... last owner made a mismatch Sat, 23 October 2004 10:50 Go to previous message
the last owener of my car told me the differential was mismatched so i thought a little off wouldn't be bad but i checked for the ratio this afternoon... lo and behold 2 rotations of the propeller shaft and is to one wheel rotation. where the heck did he get such a high ratio diff? i tried locking the other tire since it was an open diff but no change.

so that was why there was almost no torque...

i was wondering what differential choices do i have given that the engine is a 13t with a t50 tranny and i would be using it for occasional track days when finished, but will not be a daily driver. all i have at home is a stock corona diff which i think is around 3.7: 1 or 3.8 :1. but i also have access for a 78 hilux diff but im not sure if that would be fitting either, although im not sure about the ratio.

any input would be great, thanks!
