1g-gte mounting clarification (sorry)

Doing a search, from what I can gather, one of the better mounting solutions for the 1g-gte in an ra28 (amonst the multitude of solutions, it seems) are new repco 18r mounts, upside down, bolted to the engine, and then these bolted to the old 18r mounts already on the crossmember?
Have I read this right?

Wow.. From what I gather, that sounds way off the mark.. You don't bolt two rubber mounts on top of each other. HOwever I am only used to an ra23.
I just used the repco mounts, bolted in the right way, and it was all cocia.

Thats what I thought, it sounded funny. So new 18r repco mounts, on crossmember, bolted to standard 1g-gte mounts? No spacer plates, cutting etc?
BTW, Its kosher.

I thought you had to fabricate a new mount, using a ta23 crossmember?

I think the ta23 crossmember only comes into it, if you have a front sump. I have a mid-rear, so all it needs is some love from one of witzls tools.
