Bad shudder pulling away in my auto 1G

I have just had my first drive of my TA22 having put my 1G GTE back in. I balanced the prop, replaced some of the UJ bearings, replaced the centre bearing and replaced the broken auto gearbox mount. The engine mounts seem OK. I was hoping to cure a horrible shudder I get when I pull away. To my suprise NO BLOODY IMPROVEMENT! If I pull away anything other than extremly slowly it vibrates low frequency (moving the gearshift about) until I pick up a bit of speed. it's Ok on the move.
Could it be rear bushes? How do I tell if they are OK? Could it be diff oil? What should it be? Could it be the auto tranny?
Anyone any ideas?
Help appreciated from a Pomme far from home

When you say, "I balanced the tailshaft", does that mean you personally did it? or you gave it to a professional?
If you personally did it, I would take it somewhere and get it done professionally.
It will be the most likely cause of this.
Other than that it could be a slipping clutch, or badly balanced flywheel.

This can happen when you have too much angle on one of the uni joints. Check if your centre bearing is in upside down, I did this once and got the shuddering you describe.

Centre bearing...is there a front or back, upside down etc? I tried to align it with the rubber parting line slightly to the rear (I think the part is from a Hilux).
Balanced prop - supposedly done professionally but I don't have much faith in some of the work here (Malaysia).
Transmission - I don't know if it has ever been serviced? I changed the oil recently. It didn't make a differnce.
I have checked out the bushes at the rear and some are definetly dodgy - is this enough to cause the bad shudder?
Anyone know the size of the 10 bushes so I can buy before dismantling?
cheers fellas,

Sounds to me like either the converter is stuffededded or the bands in the tranny.
My money rests with the converter.

OK. I know I need to redo my bushes but I am interested in checking out the tranny. How do I check to see if the torque convertor is on it's way out or if the bands are loose? It is OK once I get going but the gear changes are pretty slow.
I wanted to put a manual in anyway!

What was it?
I got that in my 1G. After 80 ks. I got the thing serviced with the bands adjusted and stuff and it helped quite a bit but still does it. I think the tranny is just stuffed...coz it was getting worse as I put on the k's.

I think Norbie was right, it looks like the centre bearing was upside down (I didn't fit it!!). Haven't tested it yet though as the captive nut is knackered - needs a bit more messing. The prop is more or less in line with the tranny now so I have high hopes.
cheers.
