Help, i am not much of a smart one when it comes to lubes and what you should run in your car, but i know its vitally important and u gotta use the right stuff. What i need to know is wht is the best thing to have in an engine sitting idle as far as oils go? it needs to be chilling out-of-car for a good while, maybe4-6 weeks, and i dont want to cause any potential damage to the internals or bearings of the motor. Its an 18RGeu and it got sent to me as a dry-sump, which i was a bit wairy about :s should there have been oil in it on delivery? it was jsut the transportsers needed it dry sump, but now its here i want to fill it with something that will protect everything long term until the engine is put into my car.
OIL EXPERTS Give me your views. Thanks heaps if you do,
And whats best for a stocky 18RG efi once i have it running? im thinking pennzoil as a fair few mechanics use it?
cheers
