Hi all,
I have recently picked up an RA23 - my first Toyota - what a great car they are!.
It is as standard as they come.
Being a new boy to the world of Toyota (and not being a mechanic) my question is what are the options for tweaking the performance of the RA23.
I've heard that the 18rg is a good transplant but for the time being I wanted to keep the original motor in the car as it has done relatively low mileage and feels really strong (although not that zippy).
Is it worthwhile doing things like cam work, extractors, carbies etc or is it cheaper and easier to just go the 18rg. Any idea of costs, part types and suppliers to go either way would be appreciated.
